We are very glad to welcome a new member to our team. Meet Hasmik Mkrtumyan - Ecologist and ARK Sustainability Advisor. Dear friends, as you may already know, Armenia is a small country and yet its nature and landscape is one of the most unique in the world. Our beautiful nature has a great potential to bring eco-tourists to our country and to spread economic development to all the regions of Armenia. This is an exciting idea but everything must start with a first step and right now, we need your help to make that happen.
It was just a couple of days ago that we had a chance to meet nine overlanders at our place! They re from the UK, Brazil, Switzerland, Grmany and Portugal! Fantastic, isn't It? |
We visited Baghaberd Fortress with our visiting Workawayers. The fortress is a 4th to 12th century Armenian fortress located along a ridge overlooking the Voghji River 14km northwest from the village of Kapan in the Syunik Province of Armenia. The fortress is one of the most picturesque in Armenia and has a colourful history. It is rarely visited by locals or tourists and offers a beautiful vista where you can relax and picnic. Strategically the fortress guards the point where two valleys converge and offers some stunning views of the area. It can be reached with a short hike from the M2 road, 14km from Kapan. Baghaberd Fortress Latitude: 39.215414 | Longitude: 46.278105 Altitude: 1274 meters |
